In this kitchen cabinet design project for Harbour View Gardens, Taikoo Shing, our design philosophy is to create a kitchen space that is both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional. In modern urban living, the kitchen is no longer just a place for cooking but also a showcase of the homeowner's taste and lifestyle. Therefore, the designer has focused on the overall harmony of the space, meticulously crafting every detail to maximize the utility of everywhere.

This stems from the client's needs. They desired a warm and natural atmosphere with light wood tones as the primary theme. They also envisioned a cleverly designed kitchen that would appear light, airy, and spacious, while providing ample storage to meet their daily cooking and lifestyle needs.

In terms of specific design elements, the color scheme demonstrates considerable ingenuity. The main kitchen cabinets are crafted from light wood-toned laminate, paired with white slat wall cabinets, preserving a natural warmth while brightening the space. The wall cabinets feature translucent gray glass, subtly displaying the contents while, combined with interior lighting, adding a sense of lightness and depth to the space. The kitchen walls are finished with light gray, subtly textured stone-patterned tiles. The understated texture enhances the overall quality and also reflects light, making the space brighter and more comfortable.

Regarding storage, the wall cabinets are divided into closed and glass-fronted sections to cater to different storage needs. The base cabinets below feature multiple drawers and cabinet doors, providing logical zoning for convenient storage of various kitchen utensils. The functional areas are planned according to ergonomic principles, with the cooking, washing, and preparation zones distributed logically for smooth and efficient workflow. Notably, the washing machine is cleverly integrated into the kitchen cabinet design, significantly enhancing space utilization and fully showcasing the ingenuity of the design.
